Join a Life-Changing Initiative: Supporting Recovery Program

Anglicare and CatholicCare have partnered to deliver a transformative program—Supporting Recovery—designed to make a genuine difference in the lives of people in our community. This program provides free, trauma-informed mental health care to victim-survivors of Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) and their families across South West Sydney. Services are available for up to two years and include evidence-based psychological therapies, coordination with other services, and community engagement.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced mental health professional to join our team. This is a Maximum Term (till June 2026) part-time role, 3 days a week (flexible days), based in Bowral.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver trauma-informed psychological therapies
  • Provide culturally safe, inclusive, and person-centred care
  • Collaborate with CatholicCare, Anglicare, and external stakeholders
  • Participate in supervision, case consultations, and continuous improvement
  • Travel across South Western Sydney as needed

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in psychology, counselling, social work, or similar
  • Registration with relevant professional body (minimum level 2 ACA, PACFA provisional, AHPRA, AASW mental health social worker accreditation)
  • Training and experience in at least two psychological therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, CPT, EMDR)
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
  • 2+ years experience with mental health challenges and FDSV
  • 5+ years experience with children and young people with trauma
  • Play-therapy, sand-therapy, or other child-centred modality training
  • Police check and WWCC
