Join a Life-Changing Initiative: Supporting Recovery Program
Anglicare and CatholicCare have partnered to deliver a transformative program—Supporting Recovery—designed to make a genuine difference in the lives of people in our community. This program provides free, trauma-informed mental health care to victim-survivors of Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) and their families across South West Sydney. Services are available for up to two years and include evidence-based psychological therapies, coordination with other services, and community engagement.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced mental health professional to join our team. This is a Maximum Term (till June 2026) part-time role, 3 days a week (flexible days), based in Bowral.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver trauma-informed psychological therapies
- Provide culturally safe, inclusive, and person-centred care
- Collaborate with CatholicCare, Anglicare, and external stakeholders
- Participate in supervision, case consultations, and continuous improvement
- Travel across South Western Sydney as needed
Requirements:
- Tertiary degree in psychology, counselling, social work, or similar
- Registration with relevant professional body (minimum level 2 ACA, PACFA provisional, AHPRA, AASW mental health social worker accreditation)
- Training and experience in at least two psychological therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, CPT, EMDR)
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- 2+ years experience with mental health challenges and FDSV
- 5+ years experience with children and young people with trauma
- Play-therapy, sand-therapy, or other child-centred modality training
- Police check and WWCC
